DPD has consistently supported innovative approaches to digital transformation in healthcare. Our technical resources supported Jhpiego to conduct a telemedicine landscape analysis in Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), evaluating the feasibility and potential impact of telemedicine solutions in Nigeria. The study mapped stakeholders, assessed regulatory frameworks, and analyzed telemedicine initiatives between 2015 and 2022. Combining desk reviews with primary data from key informant interviews, the analysis explored policy contexts, health system delivery, and innovation challenges. The project culminated in actionable short- and long-term strategies, enabling Jhpiego to navigate market entry while addressing integration and regulatory considerations.
To advance Nigeria’s e-health strategy, DPD was engaged by NOI Polls for a Gates Foundation-funded digital health maturity assessment across 10 states. Leveraging a tiered maturity spectrum based on the Global Digital Health Index (GDHI), we evaluated the digital health ecosystem, across 10 states, ranking them and identifying gaps and opportunities for progress along a spectrum of digital health maturity.
Additionally, our team supported NOI polls, in conducting a comprehensive review of digital health investments for the Gates Foundation (2015-2021). This review documented the performance and outcomes of past projects, capturing key lessons and success factors to inform future strategies.
