Performance Improvement and Accountability

DPD has a proven track record of driving performance improvement and accountability initiatives in the health sector. Our team was engaged by BOAT Foundation to support a Gates Foundation-funded Maternal and Child Health (MCH) supply chain strengthening project in Yobe, Kaduna, Kano, and Niger states.  DPD provided technical support to develop a robust Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework. This framework included a results tracker and performance indicators to monitor the project’s impact on the availability of essential health commodities and its contribution to improving MCH outcomes.

Additionally, DPD designed a Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Model to improve the performance and accountability of Local Government Areas (LGAs) under Ekiti State’s Ulerawa scheme. This model paired high-performing and low-performing LGAs to facilitate knowledge transfer in health service delivery, claims management, and quality assurance. Metrics were tracked through an Excel-based dashboard, enabling real-time data analysis and evidence-based decision-making. By leveraging local structures and fostering collaboration, the mentorship model institutionalized best practices, enhanced social linkages, and significantly improved healthcare service quality across the state.

In the creative sector, DPD supported Chocolate City, a leading Nigerian record label, in developing an M&E framework for its Music Market Accelerator project. The initiative aimed to address structural gaps in the music industry, fostering growth and skill development opportunities, particularly for youth and women. DPD’s contributions included crafting a results framework, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), and proposing an impact evaluation to assess the project’s influence on the creative industry and its potential for global market expansion.
